Moulding

Die casting is the process of forcing molten metal under high pressure into the cavities of steel moulds. They are made of high temperature resistant steel and the die’s opening is made by wire erosion in CNC controlled machines.

The design, drilling, turning, milling, grinding, EDM, wire cutting and maintenance of extrusion dies are carried out in our own die shop. Our highly skilled personnel ensures die functioning and quality are of the highest excellence. We are working closely with extrusion designers to produce better and precise die designs. With the hands of our experts and the aid of CNC machines linked to CAD systems, dies are made by precision to provide wide variety aluminium extrusion products for our customers.

Finishing

Mill Finish: Mill finish is the natural appearance of aluminium extrusion products straight from the extrusion mill. It has not gone through any further mechanical or chemical processes. Typically, mill finish has a shiny silver appearance and might have some die lines and marks on the surface.

Anodizing: Anodizing is an electrochemical process which aluminium oxide films on the aluminium surface. Aluminium oxide is hard, durable, and weather resistant substance that protects the base metal. It acts as a protective coating on the surface of the aluminium. The coating is integral to the metal and cannot peel or flake. Therefore, anodizing process gives an elegant appearance to the extruded material.

The process involves lowering the extrusion into electrolytic bath where a DC current is connected to the extrusion, which acts as the anode in the circuit. With the natural oxide film which consists only 0.02 micron, anodizing increases the oxide layer to between 5 and 25 microns depending on the product characteristics are required.

Powder Coating: Powder coating is a type of dry-coating, which is applied as a free flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filter parts is a liquid suspension.

The coating is typically applied electro-statically and is the cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. The powder maybe the thermoplastic or thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create hard finish that is tougher that conventional paint.

There are several advantages of the powder coating over conventional liquid coatings:

  • Powder coating emit zero volatile organic compounds.

  • Powder coating can produce much thicker coating than conventional liquid coatings without running or sagging.

  • Powder coating over spray can be recycled and thus, it is possible to achieve nearly 100% utilization of the coating.

  • Powder coating production lines produce less hazardous waste than conventional liquid coatings.

As our powder coating gives excellent exterior durability and color retention, it is mainly applied for high-rise buildings. We provide a wide-range of RAL shade in gloss, satin, and matte finishes.
